I didn't really see this shelf the first time I saw this house, but when the water damage occurred and we knew we were going to have to do some sheetrock repair, I decided it had to go so the hole could be patched up when the rest of the sheetrock work was done. It is built into the wall and had glass shelves....totally not our style. It took some work to get it out of the wall but boy am I glad it is gone!! I would post a pick of the wall, but it just looks like a wall that is primed without any paint on it yet...
